Ironic that he says ‘lag=power is not true’ then proceeds to lag his shot… I think what he’s saying is that trying to force lag is bad, as you’ll hold on too long and there he’s correct. When I first began trying to create lag in my swing I hit some nasty shots to the right. Slowing things down and working on timing for about 100 balls brought it back to where it needed to be. He’s not wrong, he just doesn’t make the distinction between ‘natural lag’ and ‘forced lag’
How the hell do these people become ‘Head’ golf instructors.
Sodding Golf pros are why average handicaps don’t improve!
Lets have a group burning of the PGA manual.
This info is Horse ShiiiiiiiiT.
give the ben hogans back
Hmm This is a good lesson if you want to stay the avarage 100+ golfer and some days have the timing to “release early and square the club face” If you really want to learn the proper golf swing, set up a net in the back yard, type in “top 25 golf lesson” This guy knows what he is talking about. Basicly if you don’t want to get better keep releasing early just like you have been already.
lag me bollocks just hit the fucking ball swing-thought free that’s all there is to it, work on your short game..fuckin fools
I agree with brownie on this one. He lets lag happen in sequence with the proper body turn. Most recreational golfers do not start from the ground up in the transition and therefore have a path accross the golf ball. If you make an effort to hold the lag as he explains, you will hit some ugly shots to the right. Watch his slo mo view at the end, hands ahead of the ball at impact which is what lag is anyways…
Could be the worst bit of advice I have ever seen..
this guy almost snap releases it at the last minute, he does lag it is he trying to confuse people?
best time to use lag is when driving, not when using irons.
He actually lags the clubhead, it just that the way he explains it has the potential to ***** someone up…His hitting a good shot is a matter of timing of the release
u think your a hot s**t teacher. try teaching a different sport like ping pong or something. Not that ping pong isnt cool, cause its cool man.
some of what he is saying is true,i started holding on too long and got the shanks, nearly gave up but thankfully gone now
and don’t forget Hogan - power-lag as well
Garbage! lagging the club makes it easier to time impact and keeps the club square to the target longer. Need proof, Sergio is the best ballstriker on tour. (Tremendous amount of lag!)
This guy says one thing and does the EXACT OPPOSITE on his swing.
Take a look at how he hits the ball - - - - stop the video before impact, when his hands reach his right thigh.
He’s LAGGING the club! Actually, it’s a perfect example of how to lag and how to create that power for the swing.
Pretty funny stuff.
AHAH dumbass Well you can listen to this clown or actually swing right but if you listen to him ill be the one 50 yards ahead of you
this *****..does gary mccord really endorse casting…tell this to a beginner and you will set him back a looong way…
Lag is good..this tip is nooooooooooo goooood
Hogan, Snead, Nelson,Woods. Have a little look at their swings. If your goal is weak golf shots, mediocrity and are happy with unfulfilling golfing experiences derived from simplified, inadequate study. Keep watching this utter garbage!!!!!
Ugly swing.
Self-fulfilling prophecy….
Jeff, you wanted to hit it right, so you did. It’s simple psychology. (and i **** you)
No kidding. Worthless advice.
Can golf “pro” talk more bull s**t than this?
yes this is very true i have just started too get some lag in my swing and are experincing the same problems
